2006 Grenache
Grenache is grown all over the world, but most famously in the Rhone Region of France, and is used as the base wine for some of the top Chateauneuf du Papes. Our 2006 Grenache was grown in the Chalone Appellation just west of the Pinnacles National Monument. The limestone soils lend a slight minerality character balancing out the ripe raspberry and cranberry tones. We’ve added 10% Syrah to balance out the mouthfeel and give it more velvety structure. The subtleties of this wine make it pair well with anything from spicy Mexican food to Thanksgiving turkey, to beef or lamb.
